Regret Wenger
London - Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger expressed his apology to the fans after the humiliating defeat suffered by the Gunners from Manchester United.
Arsenal humiliated MU with a score of 2-8 when they travel to Old Trafford on Sunday (08/28/2011) night. This is the first time since 1986, the North London club's conceded eight goals in one party.
After the match, Wenger insisted he would not retreat from his position. Nevertheless, he still apologized for the defeat was so humiliating.
"Fans do not want to see their team like that," Wenger told Arsenal World quoted Sportinglife.
"We can only apologize and try to restore our strength and passion in the next game," added the man from the French.
"Scores of it embarrassing and difficult to accept. But I do not think they have a special meaning," he said.
"They're always in special circumstances," he added.
